Saintly Motivation From Mother Theresa

Mother Theresa of Calcutta was canonized a Saint in the Catholic Church today. For many who remember the little nun in the white and blue who died 19 years ago, there was no doubt this day would come. "The saint of the slums" while she was alive, she devoted herself to taking care of the poorest of the poor, the sick, and the dying in Calcutta, India. St. Theresa was a small woman with a huge heart, and compiled here are some great quotes attributed to her that can give everyone hope and motivation.

Saint Theresa

Joy is strength.

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.

Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

A life not lived for others is not a life.

I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.

Even if you’re on the right rack, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you.

I will never understand all the good that a simple smile can accomplish.

Saint Theresa

Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.

The way you help heal the world is you start with your own family.

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.

Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.

Work without love is slavery.

You know that joke, "My mind is like my web browser. 19 tabs are open, 3 are frozen and I have no idea where the music is coming from"? - yeah, that's me. So many thoughts and ideas I need a place to write them down since no one will give me my own reality tv show. I am passionately addicted to helping others achieve success. I'm out to change the world one happy person at a time by sharing my knowledge, my heart, and my sense of humor each and every day.

Chrissi, I needed this today...thank you for sharing her worldly goodness. She died the same week as Princess Diana and I think her death was somewhat overshadowed, but both losses were immense in my estimation. They were iconic in making a difference (a big one) in this world.
