Canopy at Hudson Bend
As you've been driving down RR 620 near Hudson Bend you might have noticed the "Castle Rock Homes" signs near Eck Lane. This new neighborhood is called Canopy, a truly unique new home community still developing in Hudson Bend, Austin, TX. They officially opened this spring with a gorgeous new model home.
What makes this community truly unique is that each home is a three story contemporary, with the third level opening to an enormous covered patio with views of Lake Travis.
That bears repeating. Each of the 38 homes will have a view of Lake Travis from their third floor covered patios.
And these new homes start in the mid-400's.
Castle Rock has designed this gated community with a large green space behind each of the houses which will never be built on. There are three floor plans, one with a master on the main level, one with a media room and all with balconies or patios on each level. The plans range in size from 2,434 to 3,200 sq. feet. Each offers an open and airy vibe with tons of windows. The high end finishes include flashes of chrome, granite and birch. Plus there are living spaces on both the first and second floors. All plans offer an office and 3 bedrooms. The spacious third floor covered patio, ranging in size from 300 to 450 sqare feet, has several options as well. A full outdoor kitchen can be built in along with a powder room next to the utility room. They have designed the units to have an optional elevator and they even have a design which features a pool. I'm very impressed with the different front exterior elevation options including metal roofs and a mix of stucco, stained wood and brick/stone facades. Enough options on each of the plans that will ensure the community showcases unique looking homes.
The community has entrances off both Eck Lane and Hudson Bend Road; each just a quick jog to RR 620.
The HOA of $140 a month will cover the gates, common area, community septic (off property) and landscaping in front of the homes. Homeowners will be responsible for their back yard maintenance. The tax rate for this neighborhood is super low at 2.15%. Of course, another real draw is that the neighborhood is in the highly coveted Lake Travis ISD--Lake Travis elementary, Hudson Bend Middle School and Lake Travis High School.
I've been to Canopy several times, and not just because of clients. My husband and I like the community so much we keep toying with the idea of living there.
There are two homes currently available and ready for move in. Let me know if you want to check out Canopy in Hudson Bend.
