Well here is to the unofficial last weekend of the summer. When I was a kid I made the most of it but the impending doom of the forthcoming Tuesday was very great. It was the start of the new school year and the final "nail in the coffin" for summer.
No more run free until dark, no more sleeping out in the backyard with my buddies, no more beach days, just ringing bells, mean teachers and homework.
I am a summer person, a proverbial beach boy and this is why I chose to live my life in south Florida, where summer lives year round.
