Aurora Colorado - It's The Place For Me!

Being a Colorado real estate broker, I get to see many great places across the state while showing homes to clients.  Each area has it's own unique attractions and lifestyles.  The place I always come back to as far as preference is Southeast Aurora.

That is where I have lived for the past 25 years and that is
where I feel at home!

Just about 10 minutes away from my house is the beautiful Aurora Reservoir.  Here I get my fix for water (to some extent) since my true love is the ocean.  There are 8 miles of walking trails around the reservoir and lots of open space for wildlife to call home.

In the summer there are many water activities on the lake.  They do not allow motorized boats of any kind, but you can get out and enjoy paddle boards, sailing or just fishing in your small boat.  It is not uncommon to see ice fisherman out in the middle of the lake in the middle of winter.

I am also lucky enough to live in a golf course community.  I love seeing the golfers out enjoying their game in just about any weather.  At night, you can hear the celebration barks of the coyotes when they find an unsuspecting bunny to dine on.  I have also watched many deer run by which always sends my two golden retrievers into a tizzy!

Saddle Rock Golf community is a great place to call home.

Southlands Shopping Mall is also only about 8 minutes from where I live.  This is very handy for just about anything I need.

I prefer a little quieter way of life away from the hustle and bustle of the City.  Southeast Aurora's Saddle Golf Club neighborhood offers me just that.

There are many great communities throughout the state of Colorado.  Determining your desired lifestyle will dictate which area is best for you.

Hi Belinda... sounds like a lovely place to live. But unlike yourself, I prefer the hustle and bustle of urban life... then again, that's what I grew up with.

Good morning, Belinda - it's readily apparent that Aurora makes you shout so strongly that it's  "the place for me" --- I look forward to visiting one day and letting you show me firsthand the place you love.

Belinda- though I've been to Colorado only once, the word that keeps sticking in my mind to describe it majestic. Your posts helps to reinforce that.

Belinda,

What a great photo of the Aurora Reservoir.  Next time, we are in town, we are going to check it out.  My father loved ice fishing. The golf course is gorgeous, and lovely to have a wonderful shopping center nearby.  Great entry, Thank you. A

Hi Belinda - You're a great fit for where you live and it's obvious that you make the most of it. Now if only for Craig's sake, you could get that home how you really want it... Have a great weekend!

Hi Belinda Spillman ,  Aurora, CO sure sounds like a great place to call home.  I would take advantage of the fishing without motorboats whizzing by, making waves that rock the boat.

Aurora Reservoir has mesmerizingly blue waters and the contrast with the yellow leaves is just amzing. I loved it. Made me think of the Lafaytte reservoir and our lovely walks there.

Belinda, beauty in a variety of different (and quiet) ways. I have truly enjoyed hearing the coyotes' calls as-of-late. Took some photos of a bull elk, too just outside of our pasture and about a month ago, a very healthy coyote came calling. My female stood about 10' away until I saw her and gave a rather frantic cry out to her. In these parts, we are told that coyotes will send a singular one to woo a domestic dog into the woods...I never want that to happen!!
