How Do You Handle Your Client Follow-Ups?
This is a generalized question for my colleagues in the real estate business across the country.
I am very avid and thorough when it comes to following up with clients. Some clients take a lot longer to get engaged with than others. However, I've learned over the years, the best way to succeed in the real estate business is to do follow-ups with clients on a consistent basis.
I like everyone else (well, for the most part) am only human. I will admit, there are some days that I just feel like burying my head in the sand and hiding from everyone.
There are also times when I don't feel like answering the phone or sending out dozens upon dozens of emails.
I practically work 24/7 and seldom take time off to relax and enjoy "life". When I don't work, I feel guilty and sometimes this alone drives me batty. I am entitled to some time off every now and then, right???
But, I'm also smart enough to know that if the phone doesn't ring, then I don't eat.
I am very respectful and I do not SPAM anyone, nor do I call them before 9:00 am or after 8:00 pm, unless they are expecting my call.
I do not call on actual holidays. I DO force myself not to work on holidays and spend my time with family and friends.
So, here comes the question. What about the day before or the day after a holiday? Do you reach out to your client's during these times or do you assume they'd rather not be bothered?
Thanks for your reply and input in advance!
