Things To Do in Parker, CO: Parker Oktoberfest 2016
Have you ever wondered why Oktoberfest is in September? I have! Here's the short answer:
Oktoberfest began in Munich, Germay on October 12, 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. It became an annual event. Since the weather in October can be miserably cold, the celebration was moved to September! Makes sense to me!

Founded and hosted by the CACC (Council of Arts, Science and Culture) formerly the PAC (Parker Arts Council) and presented by Erdinger Weissbrau, the authentic German brewing company, the 11 Annual Parker Oktoberfest promises to bring in more than 20,000 visits and 90+ vendors.
This FREE family friendly event will take place mid-September and will include authentic beer and food, as well as live musical entertainment and a variety of activities for children. Get ready for the rock wall, face painting, midway games and chicken dancing, and of course LOTS MORE!
