Statistics are now in from the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR) International Homebuyers Report and WOW!
TEXAS INTERNATIONAL BUYER HOME SALES EXCEEDED 10 BILLION FOR THE PAST YEAR (April 2015 - March 2016).
TAR estimates that there were 21,488 sales to international buyers in the above mentioned year and this was an increase of 2 % from the previous year over year.
Some fascinating information from this (TAR) Texas data from my view was revealed -
36% of these international buyers were from Latin America including Mexico
34% of these international buyers came from Asia/Oceanic areas
12% of these international buyers were from Europe
while 4% of these international buyers came from Canada.
One piece of information I find particularly interesting is that Indian buyers have found Texas and they like it. WElCOME! Texas had the highest volume of homebuyers from India of any US state. It was estimated that 1 in 5 (20%) of Indian nationals purchasing a home in the United States purchased a that home in Texas.
TAR Chairman Smith noted " Texas is now home to the second -largest foreign-born population size in the nation..........."
