Alligator Spotted in Phoenix North Mountain Preserve

This morning while out hiking we noticed a lot of people gathering in a certain section of the preserve where there typically isn't anybody.  Of course we were curious as to what was going on so we hiked up a berm to take a look.

AND THERE IT WAS - AN ALLIGATOR IN THE DESERT!

Retired and loving life

A headless one at that. Must be the desert dried it up and it fell off and he is wandering around lost.

Anna

That's very cool. And they didn't have to import it! I was wondering where this title would lead, especially after reading Tammy Lankford, 's post the other day about allligators in Lake Sinclair. Or was it a crocodile?

Hi Anna - Got me thinking about how we live with so many scary animals like it was no big deal - until it is.

Anna you need post that publicly on facebook so I can share it in the lake sinclair group.  I know a lot of folks who would get a big laugh based on our recent scare.

Hi Anna Banana Kruchten, I was about to click on your 3 bedroom market report but then saw the title of this post. Who brought him to AZ from FL? Poor headless gator, love the photo.

When I first read your title line, without seeing the picture, I thought, wow, I had no idea they had aligators in Arizona.
