Dad Starts Drivers Education Again

With one of my kids freshly licensed this summer it's now time to start my second (Timmothy) on the training. Yesterday was day one of Dad (me) teaching Timmothy how to drive.

Timmothy is an excellent student and he is meticulous at "getting things right" so I think teaching him to drive is going to be a snap. Yesterday we drove around my office and the neighboring two businesses for about a half hour. It was really fun to see my son beaming with pride in his accomplishment of completing driving lesson #1. It made dad pretty proud too.

Oh my, I remember those days with my 2 daughters. They both learned quickly and were pretty good at it but there were a few stressful moments! Home it goes well with your son!

I remember teaching my son to drive. It was fun and challenging (had a standard transmission).  He would later on be a police officer and emergency vehicle driver.  I think his driving skills exceeded what I taught him. Enjoy!

My husband did all the driver's training in our house. Boy does he have stories. We also made the kids take drivers ed so they insurance rating would be less.

I remember those driving lessons with my Dad...especially parallel parkng...and the pretend car that I parked behind...never quite the same size as the real one !

We had another lesson last night Sally K. & David L. Hanson and we stuck to the same empty parking lot. Parallel parking may wait till next week... or longer.

In addition to teaching my daughter how to drive my sister asked me to teach her daughter.  Hoping I don't get asked to teach the next generation.  My grandson is less than year from getting his license.  Time flies

Time sure does fly Mary Yonkers but as late as I waited to have kids I most likely won't even be alive to teach my grandchildren.
