I have been a member of the ActiveRain community for many years. I've written a LOT of blog posts in that time - 345 to be exact! (Thanks AR for keeping track!) I think I have a somewhat unique writing style; and as a result, I don't always find the right group in which to share my content - until now!
Introducing the New ActiveRain Group - Breathe Easy
(Psst...I started my own group today! And I hope you'll like to join. And post too, because I don't want to see my little face all down the page - ha!)
Why Breathe Easy?
Throughout all those years of writing, I still enjoy to share content in a very specific way - utilizing my expertise in the home inspection industry to help other professionals prepare buyers and sellers for the process.
And over the years, I've found ways to provide information about much more than just home inspections - like pre-listing repair list ideas and curb appeal tips and ways different niche seller audiences can prepare for the sale - like those with small children or those with pets (maybe that comes from years of seeing people struggle with baby gates or pinch their noses from pet odors).
This progression and expansion of my writing topics happened pretty naturally. Home inspectors often see buyers reactions to homes completely uncensored and it's taught me a lot. We also often work with buyers at the height of their emotional stress, which has also taught me a lot about human nature and the kind of support many buyers are looking for.
How the Breathe Easy Group Can Help
We all know buying and selling is a stressful time in a buyer and seller's life. It impacts family and work - it's all consuming at times. Finding a dream house or selling a long-time residence to pave the way for a new place to call home can be exhausting and emotionally draining.
Home buying and selling can be stressful, but it doesn't HAVE to be (at least not as much!). So many of us have so much experience and advice to share to help ease troubles and smooth transactions.
So I started a new ActiveRain group where we can do just that! Share articles, ideas, and inspirational messages and stories geared towards buyers and sellers, designed to be shared with clients by the professionals who work with them.
Have a nervous first-time buyer? Find an article about What to Expect When You're Inspecting (and yes, it's actually called that!) Have a seller who is a senior and unfamiliar with today's market and process? Find an article called, "Has it Been a While Since You Last Bought or Sold a Home?" Have a seller who's kid clutter is out of control and it's affecting showings? Politely pass along, "How to Survive Home Showing with Teens, Tweens and Tots."
Showing that you truly care by providing useful information right at the time that it is needed most is a great way to better serve our clients. And happy clients are more likely to refer your stellar service to family and friends.

First Assignment
Want to get involved in the new group? Do it with an easy as pie blog post! (Can you hear the points racking up?) Introduce yourself, and then share a story or instance where you helped your client Breathe Easy and how it impacted the situation or the transaction for the better. Or better yet, how your customer care lead to the referral of a family member or friend.
