An agent from a house that Showed last week called me and said I didn't have to be so mean in my feedback.
I am never mean, but I don't lie about it either.
I asked him why he thought I was mean.
He replied because I had pointed out many issues and it upset the client who got the feedback directly from me.
I told him that may have been his first mistake in letting the clients get the info before he got to see it.
I was not mean and I remember the showing well. My clients were anxious to see this home. When got there on the surface all looked really nice.
Then we started looking closer...
Around the back side of the home the wood siding was rotting in places and a heavy coat of paint tried to cover it up.
There were rotted boards on the deck that if you stepped on them you would have fallen through.
2 windows that were singlepane were painted shut.
I wrote the review just like I did here only it was a bit longer. It was being portrayed as a renovated home and ready to move in. There was a claim of money spent to make the home nicer, but much of it was general maint. Even the appliances were very old and worn.
If you ask for feedback be ready for the truth. Otherwise don't ask. You may not like what you hear.
