Parker, Colorado: Library Grand Opening 2016

On August 31st, the Parker Library closed in preparation for the big move to the new location across from Town Hall. The new building will be ready for it's official "unvailing" and Grand Opening in a few weeks. What's planned for the celebration? The day will begin at 9:00 am.

 

When: Saturday, September 24, 9:00 am - 5:00p

Where: Douglas County Libraries, Parker location, 20105 East Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138

 


You can be a part of Parker history!
Sign up to be part of the human bookworm that will move books from the old library to the new library, 0.8 mile. To register, visit the "Were Moving" page of the Douglas County Libraries (DCL) website or call 303.791.7323. All ages are welcome. The bookworm will begin at 9:00 am.

The official Grand Opening will be at 11:00 am. Opening ceremonies will include remarks from DCL's Executive Director Bob Pasicznyuk, Branch Manager Amy Long and Town of Parker Mayor Mike Waid. There will also be a dedication to the Kime family and a few other surprises!

 

You are invited to spend the day exploring all the new library has to offer while enjoying light refreshments and family friendly events. For more information, please visit the online Grand Opening invitation.

a 42,000 sq. ft. library would be my new happy place.  I doubt our local library is 2000 sq. ft.

That sounds like a grand library and learning center. We have a fine library in my town but nothing that big. You are blessed.
