Joan Cox , I am sorry to hear this. It just makes it more difficult for everyone involved. If we had an office in CO, I'd send you there. It is just not how our company chooses to operate. We strive to be more supportive to our Realtors because your business is really our business too. :-)

I've come to look at pre-approvals for what they're worth with emphasis on the "pre" (same thing with proof of funds - still doesn't mean they can necessarily afford the house).
Shana, I too have received "pre-approvals" and the lender DID NOT verify information before writing the letter.
