Our profession is based on so much emotion, its hard not to feel the disappointments when you dont get a listing or lose a buyer..
While we are the level headed ones in when we are " in the transaction" and able to be the calming waters for our customers,, our emotions tend to go crazy when someone chooses another agent or brokerage instead of us. Recently , was referred to a seller to list their home by a trusted friend, I put together a great presentation & listened what they wanted ,,,,,,, and felt very confident until they said they only wanted to do a 60 day listing. I explained that I needed a minimum of 6 months due to the price point and additional marketing I felt was needed. .............................They ultimately found a Realtor who would.
I came into the interview confident and left the same way, my integrity in hand..
While I wouldve loved to add that listing to my inventory, I am truely content in knowing that I had that chance because someone else believed in me!
