Access to West Maui beaches is getting easier with an online database that will be an ongoing project. In Hawaii all the beaches and shoreline are for public use and there are rules regarding public access points, meaning that the beaches should always be accessible. Unfortunately, over time these tend to get buried under development and forgotten. Luckily there are written records that prove what should be preserved for future generations.
