As far as the eye can see in Palmer Alaska by Robert Swetz

In Palmer Alaska there is a turn off several miles north on the right hand side of the road. And every time I am in Alaska I have to stop and snap a couple of photographs.

The view is so wide open that I can only get maybe 1/3 of the total view. And if I used a wide angle everything in the photo would look very small.

So here is one photo looking out as far north as the eye can see from Palmer Alaska.

In the photo it might look like the water is close but it's deceiving because the cliff where I took this photograph drops off around 1500 feet.

Hello Mark and I totally agree and Alaska is such a huge place to visit, photograph and can be very hard to explain it's beauty even with photos.

it doesn't look close to me.  I can tell from your clear photo those are trees down by that water.  It's a lovely shot.

These long views intrigue me VB. I had nothing blocking a dissimilar sight of  the Atlas launch from Cape Canaveral the other evening despite it's 150 mile distance.

Hello Jeff

I really don't know for sure but Kevin above your comment clames to be able to see 150 miles on a clear day.

This is amazing ...

Well Brian, they looked at several homes and now much decide which one they like the best and or which one they will put an offer on.

Problem is they had several different agents show they different homes so it became like a "Shark" frenzy in open waters in Las Vegas

Time will tell though because they are renting and they don't want to get into another 1 year lease

I will keep you posted along with the rest of AR members ...
