ActiveRain Practices: Building Credibility

 

"So many people are all worried about how much their blogs contribute to getting new leads... but miss out on the fact that building credibility in one's market as a local expert is also very important and can't always be tied to a specific dollar value." - Nina Hollander 

This quote is from a comment left on one of my blogs and is a very good reminder that the purpose of blogging goes far beyond the generation of leads. The quality of your content, the quality of your writing and your devotion to your community are also important elements for building credibility among those who are potential clients and referral sources. 

What are your most effective ways to build credibility?

How many people can attribute a new lead from someone they never met that was trigger specifically and exclusively by a bog post? Probably very few.
