We are all so inundated with information.  Now have to check each day who I sent an email to and did they respond otherwise I follow-up in a different way. We can't assume anymore that people are receiving or reading our e-mails.

I absolutely agree that email is not the best communication.  We are inundated with spam emails and such it's a bit overwhelming.  I have found that my best form of communication with a client is texting.  It's quick and efficient. Good Post!

I'd not thought to communicate twice - via e-mail AND via text.    Sounds effective!    Brivity CRM how do you personalize the subject line of an e-mail?

Sep 18, 2016 03:15 AM
Brivity Platform

Hi M.C.

We tailor our subject lines to our audience. We'll use different language for our leads vs our current clients to connect with them on their specific level of relationship they have with us. Language with leads may be more general, where language with clients can refer to specifics from the history we have with them.

Thank for asking!

Needless to say the traditional channel of marketing is very much alive. Mailing, mailing, talk in person.

Good information on communicating. One form is not always enough..good to follow up and I've always liked the personal touch of a good old thank you note in the mail.

Making the email server glow red from traffic funneled to your real estate beehive. The phone ringing none stop and continuous. That's the sizzle in the rattle and hum of your real estate marketing. Videos do the show and tell, just tap tap and lean back, settle in and listen, watch, learn. Great post and emails are part of the REALTOR tool box must have working like a top in the day to day operation.

One of the questions we ask contacts is the best way to communicate with them. Text, email or phone? Give the client what they want, not what is convenient for you.

Diversity IS the key to being effective.  The inundation of information these days IS overwhelming.  I ran a little poll on AR the other day and most said they delete 50% - 95% of their email without even looking at it.  If you're going to use email, it'd better be short and sweet... with a headline that's going to get opened.

This is very true! Email is still very important especially in a typical business work place, but texting is just an essential now. Almost everybody having a smartphone definitely affects how we communicate with each other nowadays.

Just just a quick little fuck a quick thought: These posts are going over pretty well and maybe you should put them in one little file folder and do them as a series that you can repeat.

For starters, what is this "cpp cpp" post nonsense?

Regarding Brevity's post, I agree that having a personalized subject line is helpful, but it makes me crazy when an email marketer's subject line is something like "Hey, beautiful!"  I agree with Carol Williams regarding the number of emails that are unread each day.

Jan 17, 2017 01:10 AM
Brivity Platform

That is a good question... I'll get in contact with ActiveRain support and see if they can remove that person's comment!

Email marketing is still one of the most widely used marketing tactics today, and it can be good or bad depending on how you use it. Obviously something like, "Hey, beautiful" may definitely be too personalized (and kind of creepy!) and can use some revising.
