Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach

A few days ago I posted on my blog about Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach. In this post I look at what is for sale in this condo-hotel now, compare it to what was sold in 2016 and 2015, and ponder on the possible scenarious for the immediate future of our condo-hotel market in general and the market at The Plaza Resort & Spa in particular.

Even when it seems like a very slow moving market, it is still moving and the changes are noticeable, though not as pronounced as we would like. The trends are uncertain, and advising Sellers whether to sell now and be done with it, or wait till next season and, potentially, sell for significantly more, is tricky at best.

And this is exactly what I am trying to do in this post.

Darn Jon, and here I am thinking that you have a working crystal ball!  But, while we may not be fortune-tellers, we can at least evaluate the trends, history and make a far better educated guess than just rolling the dice!

Harry F. D'Elia - it might be... or might be not. It is all about expectations. When they are realisticm then it is fine. When people jump being ill informed, then they might be frustrated with the reality, Interestingly, it is usually not about the property, but about our expectations.

Hannah Williams - it seems that guessing is part of our existence. I fail in my predictions quite often. I know taht I can't guarantee anything, but I am constantly adjusting my predictions, so maybe they may some sense, when they are taken in its dynamics.

Hi Jon! Like that new headshot.  Please don't tell me it's not new, LOL.

So, the crystal ball is now a dough ball, I like that. 

Our market is so uncertain. Up, down, down and back down. No inventory at the moment, but buyers aren't jumping as they could/should. 

If I could predict the future, oh if only I could.

Andrea Swiedler - Oh, at least for some time I can say that this photo is a s fresh, as it could be... :)

I am puzzled by this phenomenon of low inventory and yet low prices and few takers. Seems against the grain, but this is exactly what we are observing.

As for predicting the future, we sure can. The only problem is that the fiuture does not care about our predictions :)
