We woke to a very heavy ground fog this morning, with trees just a couple of hundred feet away invisible.
By 7 am there were peeks of blue sky through the lifting fog, and within a couple of hours the marine layer had all but disappeared except for hanging just off the coast. Good thing as we were headed out to brunch to celebrate my Moms 90th birthday at hear favorite restautant, Argyle in south Carlsbad on the golf course at the Aviara Golf Club. The edge of the marine layer was right overhead while dining - sun and blue sky to the west, gray marine layer to the east. Such is the Southen California coastline some days.
