Oktoberfest in Carlsbad California is October 1, 2016
As summer draws to a close…September 22 is the Fall Equinox and the first day of Fall…we know that means it’s almost time for the annual Carlsbad Oktoberfest. This is North San Diego County’s longest running Oktoberfest.
The Carlsbad 34th Annual Rotary Oktoberfest is Saturday, October 1 at the usual site, beautiful Holiday Park, beginning at 12 noon and ending at 10 pm.
For those who are not familiar with Carlsbad’s Holiday Park, it’s easy to find. Head south on Pio Pico from Carlsbad Village Drive and it will be on the left between Pine and Chestnut.
Here’s a site map of the Carlsbad Oktoberfest.
The Carlsbad Oktoberfest 2016 is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carlsbad, as always. Additional sponsors include ViaSat, Cosmetic Social Media, Westfield, NRG, Scripps and others. In 2016 the Oktoberfest funds will go to 2 major beneficiaries, the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, and Solutions for Change, a local charity dedicated to solving family homelessness.
Oktoberfest would not be complete without German music, polka dancing, a Kinder Korner with activities for the kids including face painting, a Children’s pumpkin patch for decorating pumpkins, several bands, bounce houses, and antique firetruck, plus a classic German Oktoberfest dinner. Advance tickets at $15 (for 1 full meal and admission), plus other ticket levels, can be purchased online, or on the day of the event for $20 at the gate.
