Treasures indeed! While I have several favorite real estate attorneys with whom to work for our Closings, I have a special place in my heart for Elizabeth Watkins Holloway. Her office is in the South End area (where our new office will be soon!) and my clients love walking through the office, admiring the work of local artist, David French.
There's something very 'retro' about David French's work that just draws you right in - hip, modern and memory-generating! Elizabeth's office is filled with the artist's work so, it's not uncommon to see our clients roaming from conference room to halls to offices in this law firm, surveying the incredible artwork! The artist does charcoal drawings, family portraits, Charlotte panoramics and the always-in-demand local hotspot paintings. Visit his site to see some of his amazing work.
When the attorney's office was preparing the space, Charlotte artist, David French was commissioned to fill the office walls with a variety of local venues and skyline renderings. What wonderful conversation starters! Just yesterday, I attended a Closing with a relocation client, moving here from California - she loved this one and, of course, asked, "Now where is this one?"
The photo above, the actual photo in Elizabeth's office, is of The Cabo Fish Taco Baha Seagrill in popular NoDa, the Historic Arts District, located on North Davidson Street. You simply must visit The Cabo Fish Taco and try their #1 entrée (The Cabo Fish Taco!) made with two soft flour tortillas stuffed with beer-battered cod, shredded cabbage, tomato, avocado, mixed cheeses and topped with an amazing cilantro white sauce. Of course, the house-made cocktails are out of this world as well!
Moving to Charlotte? Oh, there are plenty of fabulous places to dine, incredibly talented artists abound (especially in the NoDa area) and the attorneys here boast some pretty cool offices too!
