Today, I'm getting my car fixed...hopefully

Saturday morning, I ran into a problem.  The trunk of my car got stuck...it's half way open, and half way closed.  (something is wrong w/ the latch).  It will neither open nor close.

This is a problem...because all my samples are in the back!  I can't access most of them.

And, the lights were on...so it could have worn out the battery.

Not fun.

To make a long story short, my boyfriend was able to disconnect the interior lights (per my mechanic's suggestion).  My mechanic was away for the weekend, but it wouldn't have mattered because we had to order parts.  I'm taking it in this morning at 9am to be fixed.  But, before that, I have to drive to my mom's and empty out the entire car.  If you saw my car, you'd understand that this is not going to be fun.  I have tons of samples...and it's easiest to get them from the trunk.

So, I guess this will be a bit of a fall cleaning.  I'm glad it's not raining today as it will take a while, and then later, I'll have to put them all back.

I was lucky that my 2nd 2 appointments on Saturday were sanding appointments (and did not require samples), and I had 2 appointments on Mon/Tues that didn't need samples, and lucky that my other Monday appt had the samples on top, so I could grab them from the side door.  (I had to move 2 other appointments until next week as I can't get to those samples and they weren't available later this week).

Let's cross our fingers that my mechanic is able to get things fixed today.  He is going to drop me off at Starbucks so I can get some work done.

Oh, and I need to replace 1 of my purple hubcaps.  On Friday evening, I noticed one was missing.  And, of course these are specially made.  So, let's also hope that I seel an extra job this week to cover all my extra expenses.

good morning Debbie. I had to go to New Jersey last week to get my car fixed. Not a day I looked forward to but after a day of waiting and several thousand bucks I'm back on the road now. Good luck.

Well, you are attending to your car which is better than I am doing. Mine is functional, so I ignore the dent in the rear, the missing hub cap, etc.

Debbie we all depend on our cars a lot so there is never a convenient time for a repair to happen.  Hope you get all the repairs done, and an extra sale or to to cover the unexpected costs.

Debbie,

It is the nature of life.  Luckily our dealership has loaner cars available.  They also wash the car when it is done, so getting something fixed there minimalizes the pain of it all.  A
