Are Your Friends Cat Lovers or Haters?

It's funny, but it seems that people either love cats or hate them.

I have one friend who dislikes them very much. His philosophy is,
"Cats? Love 'em but they don't have much meat on ‘em."

Another friend is a major dog lover and believes that movie line from Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean:
“The only creatures that are evolved enough to convey pure love are dogs and infants.”

My kitty maximus out sunning himself.Either you do or you don't. Cats can be finicky or they can be the most snuggly, lovable animals around. They have minds of their own. I really love this about cats. They can be independent and as a successful business woman, I can relate. They are smarter than people give them credit for as well. Dogs pee on a tree. Cats can use AND flush the toilet!

I am a huge follower of the website Imgur.com for their posts on "Caterday". I love the things they come up with. It's not always about the cute kittens. Anything is cute when it's a baby. It's when they begin to grow into their forever personality that I love them even more.

All three of my cats are great and have completely different personalities. It’s even reflected in how they choose to get their drink of water. Sammi likes to drink out of a glass in our bathroom. Maximus loves to drink out of the faucet in the kitchen or bathroom; and the youngest, Maya, drinks from the water dish in the kitchen!

Puppy running in the grass.I’m not saying I don’t like dogs. In fact, I absolutely love dogs. They are spirited animals with little regard for getting into trouble and the consequences. Throw a stick and watch Fido run, get it and bring it back just to have you throw it again! The cat will play this game of fetch with a toy mouse twice, maybe three times before they tire of the idiotic game of chase.

Dogs are also loyal. But that front body sniffing loyalty gets really old, especially when you have company and it’s not just your front side that they are becoming familiar with!

Kittens and cats can be house-trained much quicker than a dog. Love that about them. Dogs are needy that way. Cats are self-sufficient. Show them the box and they are officially trained! Puppies are time-consuming and not very trustworthy during this process. They will go outside, run around, and unless you are watching, they will trick you into thinking they have done their duty. But when they come back into the house, they’ll find a spot and make a mess on the floor.

So whether you are a cat lover or a dog lover, they both have their great points and their lesser points. But they are Gods creatures.

As Winston Churchill once said,

“I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.”

Personally, I love cats but my husband is allergic to them.  No pets of any sort for us.

That's too bad! I think animals add a great companionship when you need a hug or someone other than your husband to watch a movie with!

Well I love both cats and dogs-we have a nearly 20-year-old kitty.

My kitty was 21 when she passed. Then we got these three stinkers (one every year after)! LOL

Love the dogs and the companionship they bring. They are a lot of fun, othen than my dog has chewed on 16 dog beds, tearing out the stuffing.

Cats aren't as destructive usually, but that scratching can be an issue for some! Thanks!
