Romancing Your Marketplace With A KISS in Flower Mound

Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

When AR members Alexandra & Ron Seigle challenged members to a Romanticize Your Marketplace: September Active Rain Contest! I began to think about the laws of attraction and how it relates to my marketplace. They say, "Most people buy homes based on their emotions and then justify their choices with logic." I began to give this serious thought.

People come in all different sizes, shapes, and personality traits. Unless you're a licensed Psychologists it may be difficult to pinpoint CORE mapping. Even though I have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Behaviorial Science, and in my former career, I was a Recruiter in Human Resources, I'm not a qualified pro in emotions and that's not something I analyze when knowing and understanding the marketplace in Real Estate. I focus on two things:

1) Taking pride and serious thought to analyzing the marketplace.

2) Identifying and understand people's needs.

Everyone who works in sales needs to understand how to work with people and know their product or as in sales the marketplace. People come wrapped in different types of packages: thinkers, feelers, introverts/sensors, extrovert/intuitives. Therefore, successful sales are all about relationship building. I believe in my version of the acronym K.I.S.S.

In my opinion, K.I.S.S. stands for keep it simply special - everyone deserves a home, a sense of belonging, where they feel special.

Whether people are working inside or outside the home or don't need to work, it's important to keep in mind Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs:

  1. Physiological
  2. Safety
  3. Love/Belonging
  4. Esteem
  5. Self-Actualization

There are three things to do in Flower Mound that best represents K.I.S.S.

For a nice and quiet dinner and if my clients want a good steak, I may buy them a gift certificate to a locally owned restaurant called the Yellow Rose Steak House in Flower Mound Since I'm not a meat eater, this may be something they would enjoy after their move-in to Flower Mound.

No matter how much research or experience a person has, making an investment in a home is a very big decision. With so much emotional energy flowing into the decision-making process, a couple or family who decides on Flower Mound may want to relax and spend a little time together getting back into doing something normal, like seeing a movie at one of the newest most recent additions to Flower Mound at the Moviehouse Eatery without having to drive the distance. For an occasion like this, I may purchase movie tickets as a closing gift.

Emotional reactions to making financial decisions may intensify for some greater than others and the decision to buy may not be immediate. For tough decisions or when decisions need to be made there are those who may not be able to make an immediate decision and looking up to the heavens may give one hope or inspiration...there, one may find the answers they are looking for within their hearts. For the best sunsets, I choose to drive a short distance over to Lake Lewisville where the sun brightens my day and for a great sunset, the skies are always delightful over Lake Grapevine in Flower Mound. After all, the best gifts of all are FREE!

What a thoughtful post on the emotional pulls in Flower Mound.  I enjoyed your analysis and your reference to Maslow.  If we all explored our emotional needs, I think we would all be better for it instead of suppressing them.  Of course, I loved you pictures, and you are right, some of the best gifts are free!

Thank you for entering this contest.  A

Awe! Thank you, Ron and Alexandra Seigel! You're such a thoughtful couple and always positive. The emotional highs and lows are part of life. Suppression doesn't get us anywhere. I think people get a good sense of belonging when they are comfortable in their surroundings and not forced to make decisions.

Romanticizing your marketplace with a K.I.S.S. is essential.

Patricia even though most try to make decisions based on facts, emotion always seems to play a role, it cannot be avoided in most cases.
