Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Professionals BK659643

Anyone living in a "college town" knows what the meaning of "TURN OVER" time.   At the end of each semester, you have students moving in and moving out....Turn Over Time.

Property management companies that deal with rentals know this is their high stress season.  But, I don't want to talk about rentals, let's talk about the Residential Real Estate Market in Gainesville FL.

Today was Graduation Day for the University of Florida You can't get a hotel room in town this weekend, and you will be waiting for tables at most of the restaurants in town too.   I spent my day showing homes to buyers from St. Pete.  They are looking for a single family home in a nice neighborhood that is close to UF/Shands for their sons that are starting school here soon.  It was a great day!  In one neighborhood we saw a very happy family celebrating graduation with a lawn party....they were Very proud parents.

Turn Over Time is true for working professionals, administrators, and faculty too.  It's not just students that move in and out of Gainesville.  We Like to Call it GATOR NATION.

Next month will be Graduation Ceremonies for post graduate studies too.   We have a Medical School, Dental School, Veterinary Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, and the list goes on.   As each class graduates and moves on in their careers, then others roll into Gainesville to start their careers or advance in their fields. All of these things STABILIZE our local real estate market.

Oh, and don't forget that another strong foundation for our real estate market in Gainesville is the large medical network.  There are three large hospital networks:  SHANDS, North Florida Regional Medical Center, and the VA Medical Center.   So many medical professionals, doctors, nurses, and technicians move to and from Gainesville each year as their careers move along.

Go GatorsCurrently, I am working with buyers that fall into all of these categories. And if you are needing a Buyers Agent in Gainesville, I would love to hear from you!

Professionals moving to Gainesville and it's the beginning of our PEAK season.

There is such a great selection of single family homes, condos, and townhomes for sale in Gainesville, and in any price range that fits your budget.  So if you need to start planning your move to Gainesville.....just give me a call and let's get started.

GO GATORS!!

And pssst...... I can show you where Urban Meyer & Billy Donovan live, and where Tom Petty worked when he lived here in Gainesville, and I can drop more Gainesville Great Names.....but we can talk about all of this when you get here !

I remember my college graduation like it was yesterday. I went to Northeastern University in Boston and did the Coop program where you work for half the year. Real Estate was my coop job. It ws great because I knew what I wanted to do the day I graduated. It also helped me own my own home at the age of 23.

CHRISTINE - It sounds like "turn over" time is an excellent way to avoid the peaks and valleys of the real estate market.  We have some of that here, but on a much smaller scale.

Christine - here in St Pete we've been selling homes to parents for their college students as well - University of South Florida St Petersburg and St Petersburg College - and we have Stetson Law School, too.
