Bluegrass is Back!

By
Real Estate Agent with Raleigh Cary Realty NC Broker #178638

It's back!  The International Blugrass Music Association returns to Raleigh for the 4th year.  The IBMA will be holding sessions, giving awards, and getting business done, but for most of us it's all about the bands.   You don't even need a ticket to enjoy the five street stages, the dance tent, and on Saturday the barbecue competition.

If you love bluegrass, it's happening in Raleigh this weekend!

We love Bluegrass and notice the names of several of our favorite bands. The Steep Canyon Rangers are excellent musicians.

This festival brings in many well-known bands, as well as those who would like to be.  Everyone seems to have a good time playing together!

I think the logo is different every year.  We took the festival away from Nashville, where bluegrass played second fiddle to country music, so to speak. It has worked out really well.

Dang I wish I could be there. I'm a fan of Del McCoury and Jerry Douglas. I got to listen to those guys in years past at the Telluride Bluegrass festival.

Well admittedly you are a bit farther away.  You could plan ahead for next year, though.  All of us need a break at this time of year, when we can finally catch our breath!

I remember the first time I was invited to attend a Bluegrass Festival. I had no idea what to expect but it didn't take long to get me hooked! I love the squirrel on this ad too!

Oh, how I wish I could attend.

Patricia Feager   Great music, I am amazed at how fast fingers fly on those banjos and mandolins!
