Don't Be Random
You've seen the bumper sticker, "practice random acts of kindness". That's great. Spreading kindness is never a bad thing. What I'm suggesting is to be "intentional" about it, not random. Make up your mind to go out and do good deeds.
All too often we get wrapped up in ourselves, what we're doing, where we're going. Slow down. Notice those around you who might be in need of a kindness. It doesn't need to be anything huge. It can be as simple as holding the door open, thanking the clerk when he/she hands you your change, giving up your seat to someone who obviously needs it more than you.
Put your phone in your pocket. Hold your head up. Put a smile on your face. Embrace the day and share a kindness. You can do it. It's not hard. I promise, you'll make a difference in someone's day and your own!
