Wordless Wednesday: Pocket Garden

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH@properties AB95346

This afternoon, I was looking around Adams Morgan and decided to visit one of my favorite pocket gardens near the corner of 20th and Biltmore Streets NW.  It's a sort of wild place - not planned by landscapers, but planted by people who live in the community.  And it's just beautiful, in my humble opinion!

It looks different each season.  This is my first late summer visit.  In a couple of weeks it will be all late bloomers!

Number 1 - I don't see a pocket anywhere.

Number 2 - those flowers need trimming!  They are taller than the houses!

Patricia I don't think I have heard the term "Pocket Garden" before and not sure what it is, but you make this one sound very special.

I love those maroon plants, whatever they are.  I've never heard the term, "Pocket Garden" before either.  I'm curious what it means.

Patricia, A great name for those small community gardens.  Great photo with the brilliant autumn colors against the wonderful backdrop of gray/beige houses!

Happy Autumn!
