What are people thinking when they watch a sunset?

 

I have viewed hundreds of sunsets in my life along with many sunrises, and I know when I view a sunset there are many thoughts going through my mind.

I know that when I view sunsets the first thing that comes to mind is the beauty of the sun, the clouds, colors and knowing that when the sun sets and darkness falls that daylight has ended.

The thoughts that go through my mind are different depending on where I am watching the sunset, what is going on in my life, if I am alone or with someone. If I am watching a sunset alone, it can a lonely feeling wondering why I am watching the sunset alone.

And when I am watching the sunset with the one I love it can be romantic or with family members it can be a day filled with laughter, fun and cherished moments.

Regardless of the thoughts at hand (where I am phyically and in life), I am always in awe of sunsets - simple, sheer admiration of the beauty of the sky as well as the vastness of what is beyond.

Top of the morning Vegas.  An excellent question.  Never been specific about it while enjoying sunsets.  After your post I most likely will be cognizant of the specifics of where, what and when.  Of course not so much so as to ruin the beauty of the moment.  Mark

Gorgeous pictures of sunsets!   If the people are anything like me, I hope they are taking at least a moment to appreciate the beauty the ocean sunset.  

 

If you have a little daughter, they might be to the right side of the picture with the family walking by.    If I was more familiar with Alaska, it might be easier to guess which picture it is.
