John Pusa Thank you, I appreciate your feedback.
Kim, your most excellent post of the 3 F's (Function, Focal Point, and Feeling) reminds me of some of our football players' grades here at Purdue University!
We are a firm believer in our clients consulting with professional stagers especially for vacant properties. Are those beautiful Colorado Aspens turning those incredible shades of gold and yellow yet, Kim???

Bruce Walter ouch, sorry to hear that. I hail from Illinois, not too far from your stomping ground.
Thank you so much for being an avid supporter of the benefits of staging. We have reached fall peak here, highly recommend a color tour. Enjoy your beautiful Midwest red Maples!

Thanks Belinda, proof is in the pudding - Barbara Corcoran and RESA agree. Check out the interview:

Not to be mean...but often the seller would be better off putting their own stuff in storage and staging the home they are selling. Biggest issue I often have...too much over sized furniture. This looks even worse in photos.

I completely understand your perspective. Big, fluffy brown sofas have taken over American living rooms in MASSES!
However, if the seller doesn't have the budget to stage with inventory, a staging consultation can truly help a seller see how to dramatically edit and creatively work with a few key pieces to address function, magnify focal points and boost a buyer's feeling about submitting a stronger offer.
Best of luck out there!
Good advice for anyone getting ready to sell their home.
