Greetings fellow Rainers from Kansas!  After being a Zillow Premier Agent from 2006 to 2009 and again from 2011 to earlier this year (2016), after being a Trulia Pro for a few years, after being on REALTORcom, and many similar high cost/low return lead generation systems, I have finally found something that should be low cost/high return lead generation.  I also get all the leads from my zip codes.  At $35 per zip code reservation, $35 per month once a lead comes in from a zip code, and no contract if a zip code doesn't continually produce, this was a no-brainer for me and I hope it will be for you as well.  Get locked in now because after 11:59PM on October 12, 2016, this ActiveRainers' Special expires and the rates switch to $35 per month right from the start of your subscription.

HousesForSale.com has a one area for one agent policy so I am not sharing leads with anyone in the 9 county area I service (small, rural area of Kansas).  You've got to admit being the only agent in your zip code or in your area on a site with the domain name HousesForSale.com is very appealing.  NOTE:  Be sure to read what the owner of HousesForSale.com has to say at the bottom of my blog.

HousesForSale.com is just a few weeks old in development and lots of changes are in the works but I am excited about soon getting high ranking on the search engines organically.  Once all the fixes are worked out and the site goes live on the search engines, those of us who were the first to buy our zip code reservations will be filling our pipeline with buyer leads.  The HousesForSale.com owner, John Brown, told me this morning that "we just got a Lead in for Laguna California for $1.2m, pretty cool!".  I find that pretty amazing considering it is just getting started in gathering agents and just getting started on their SEO which gets them on the local results as shown on a map below in a beta market.

I asked John Brown to share with you his thoughts of how this can help you in lead generation.  He has written what follows.  If you are excited as I am and want to be the one and only agent in your area, you will have to act fast.  Nothing would make me happier than to see all my fellow rainers stake their claim on the HousesForSale.com map for their zip codes.

In plain terms, we have created something pretty amazing!  It’s a way to show up above Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com in the search results and capitalize on that exposure.  Combined with all the other features included our platform has been described as a one-stop-shop.  I know just how big these claims are so I am not going to try and sell you, I’m just going to tell you our story and let you decide for yourself.   Everything that I am telling you is on the level and I would not make these claims if you could not look and personally verify it for yourself.

We spent a year putting together a company called Houses for Sale and right before we did our local launch, in Dallas on July 3rd, I was able to acquire the domain HousesForSale.com.  

We (have grown to a small team now) realize that we have been given a huge opportunity and we are trying to make Houses for Sale a national player.  The one thing we don’t want to do is be a company that bleeds Agents dry by running the numbers and figuring out just how much you can squeeze out of each Zip Code, there is no need for that, we don’t have to be greedy.  We are not driven solely by profits, but more so the chance to do something great.  Everybody can profit off of this.  That is one of the things we build in, if we don’t do our job, Agents don’t pay us.  Agents have all the power.  Our goal at the end of the day is Agents are going to want to pay us a small fee to keep their Exclusive Zip Code and the additional value we are bringing. 

One of the opportunities I saw as an Agent was that I was paying huge sums of money each month and felt that I was forced into a situation I did not like.  In my case, with just one of the big guys I was paying $201 per month just to compete with 16 other agents in my Zip Code and that was entry level pricing!  On top of that, I am still paying another one of the big 3 $100 a month because I am under this long-term contract and they won’t let me out of it. 

My point is this.  I didn’t like how I was being treated and I saw the opportunity to make something that could be good for everyone involved.  Especially by stripping out everything I didn’t like about the major portals and offering something that was built for Agents.  So these are the main points:

  1. Exclusive Zip Codes (One Area-One Agent) Only One Agent Per Zip Code, 
  2. No Contract, 
  3. No Referral Fees,
  4. Brand Houses for Sale as your own website,
  5. 2 click Patent Pending Social Media Marketing, we simplified Social Media marketing down to 2 clicks and slapped a patent on it.   
  6. CRM (Lead Management Backside)
  7. Affordable pricing $35 per month,
  8. If you are in a location where we have not expanded to, we can tie in your existing website with a link directly from our homepage map to showcase your local website.  We can also link directly to your site if you are in a major Metroplex as well. 
  9. National connected network of House for Sale locations.

When you sign up with us you get the exclusive rights to use our Name, IP, Trademarks, and Website within a specific geographic area.  If you had a Zip Code in Sachse, Texas for example, we would register your business location as “Houses for Sale in Sachse” with the local business directories.  When this happens, you show up as a local business on the “Local Pack” in search results which is physically above the organic results where the big guys dominate (screenshot attached).   

 

The beauty of this is in its simplicity.  We are Hyper-Localizing Houses for Sale locations across the country. Hyper-Localizing is a term Google loves and this is the polar opposite of how the national operates.  Being that we are only 2 ½ months old we have proven this concept on Microsoft’s Bing and even though we are not on Google, yet, I am betting that we can get there. 

As one of the experts have said, what Agent would snub their nose at being above the major portals 10% of the time with their local phone number displayed when searching for Houses for Sale in that exact location?

Hi, Rob!  I got your email and, as a fellow Kansan had to stop by.  Good luck with this.  Although I guess I'm so old school - I started out when there was a focus on training agents to prospect for business.  This is something that newer agents (who aren't being trained to prospect) might find attractive.  Good luck with it.

Thanks Patricia!  I'm a little old school too but with 250 agents and only 1000 single family sales in a small town like Lawrence each year, I kind of have to be the best of both worlds.  I understand where you are coming from though.  My wife and I are taking our two oldest grandsons for their "dream trip" to DC this month to see the Bus Tour National Mall, Smithsonian, Spy Museum, and the Capitol (we got told today that the White House tour was denied).   I'm sure we will have plenty to do to keep us busy.  Thanks again for stopping by and for your comments!

Thanks Endre!  As I mentioned to Patricia Kennedy, I too am kind of old school in that I believe in hard work but I also am open to new ideas when they produce results (as you stated -- "maybe I will change my mind").  I will definitely be keeping AR'ers posted here about leads I get once it goes live on the search engines but wanted to get the word out to others who want to help launch the site which as you know, back links to our sites and blogs are great for SEO and can help us to get more leads.  I hope to have great results to report soon!!

I am "old school" too, Rob but I also get all of my business from the internet these days (*plus referrals, of course), because it beats working hard. I work hard enough for my clients, I don't need to always being prospecting. I like it that my business comes to me, and this seems like another good opportunity. Thanks for talking with me today.
