If you're in the business of real estate as we are, you know its a big hurdle for folk like us. Yes, I am very proud of myself, but even more I am proud of my wife's and I's accomplishments together. As partners and a team we have done great things together. And now this:
I passed the California real estate broker's exam! I studied my butt off for that last few weeks, nay the last few years! But seriously the last few weeks it has been non-stop. In fact, my wife let me skirt my normal husbandly duties and she even shouldered most of the business while I had my nose in a mountain of books! I owe my wife at least half of this accomplishment, and more for what she has done for me and our family.
And as I write this my application for my broker's license is in the mail to the California BRE. This has been a dream of ours for years. It was intimidating, really. But after the first try I have successfully passed the exam!
Wow. I am pinching myself. I feel like giving one of those celebrity achievement speeches that go on and on about not giving up and following your dreams and telling kids to stay in school, but I'm realizing that I'm just self-serving my own ego now.
Anyhoo, I love ya, ActiveRain! I'll see you out on the front lines of real estate!
