Sending Best Wishes And Prayers To All In Hurricane Matthew's Path

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty 179530

Praying for all to stay safe during Hurricane MatthewsTo all my friends who may be in the path of Hurricane Matthew in the coming days, I'm praying that you'll all be safe and that your homes won't be damaged. I'm crossing my fingers that you're all adequately prepared for the storm and that damage will be limited.

I know for some of you, this isn't your first "rodeo" (and most likely won't be the last), but please don't take any unnecessary chances and do what you know you need to do to keep yourselves and your families as safe as possible. As Anderson Cooper said: "Anyone who says they're not afraid at the time of a hurricane is either a fool or a liar, or a little bit of both."

God, our Father,
Eternal and Omnipotent,
Creator and Lord of the Universe,
you have set the earth on its foundation
and all elements of nature obey your command. You give food to all flesh,
cover the heavens with clouds,
and provide rain to the earth ─
We humbly beseech you
Lord, Most High,
to keep us safe from all dangers
and to calm all the storms of life that threaten us:
especially the attack of whirlwinds and tornadoes,
the calamity and destruction of hurricanes,
the din and damage of hail storms,
the striking of thunderbolts and lightning,
and the devastation of floods and tidal waves.

Bill Roberts ~ hi Bill... thanks for the concern. So far, Charlotte looks like it will escape the monster storm. They are predicting some rain tonight and on and off tomorrow, but sunny again on Sunday. We could really use some rain here after the dry summer, but so far they are saying we probably won't get much more than an inch or so of rain. Obviously, the NC coast line is a completely different story.

Grant Schneider ~ hi Grant... I have a sister on the west coast of Florida in Clearwater, so she should be relatively ok. But I know a ton of people along the east cost of the state and it's very worrisome.

Nina I can't imagine being in an area with a hurricane generating winds over 120 miles an hour.  Hope it goes out to see before it hits NC and impacts you as well in Charlotte.

George Souto ~ hi George... no expectation that the storm will impact Charlotte... we might get up to an inch of raining is what is forecasted. But I sure wouldn't want to be on our coast line this weekend.

Matthew is a nasty hurricane . . . . The big hit with the storm looks like it  be from Martin County Florida North into the Carolina. With the wind speed there will be massive damage.

Good luck and success.

Nina- your prayers were heard and answered.  Now we're seeing the damage that it is doing to the Jacksonville area and going into South Carolina.  I looked at the radar and Charlotte is not that far away!  Hope Matthew soon tires of all of this and goes out to sea.

Hi Kathy... glad to hear you seem to be alright. On the map Charlotte does not appear to be far away, but we are far enough away that there won't be any impact here... we had some rain this morning, no wind. There should be rain on and off tomorrow. Stay safe.
