We are so thankful to God for his precious protection last night.
When I finally fell asleep at 1:30 AM, it was howling pretty good and I didn't know what we would awaken to.
Well my nice neighbors called me at 6 AM to let me know what to expect.
As I got up and started to assess the damage, this is what I found first.
This was our Lifetime Brand Shed that was hurricane rated to 118 mph winds. Since we only got to 74 mph last night, I think they may need to rethink their claims of strength.
We assembled this shed just about 6 months ago and placed it on a solid concrete slab and hurricane bolted it with 10 hurricane anchors as the company quotes in their materials is enough.
Not even close and I will tell everyone DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY if you live in a hurricane or Tornado zone.
As you can see, it is a complete pile of rubble.
We salvaged all the contents and placed in the garage and are now purchasing a new much more powerfully constructed shed and they will deliver it, set it up, mount and hurricane strap it to the slab and then warranty it up to 180 mph winds for 10 years.
Sounds like this what we should have done up front.
We are indeed thankful this was our only damage we can find, so we feel very blessed.
Thanks so much to everyone who asked and we look forward to getting back to work and helping so many to sell their homes before the end of the year before prices start falling if the latest predictions come true.
