What is a Homestead Exemption Program?                       

  A Homestead Exemption Program is a type of property tax relief for those who qualify.  

  The exemption allows a homeowner to credit their property tax bill by $25,000 of the market value of their home from all local property taxes.   

                                                            

Who qualifies?                                   

        *Anyone who is 65 years of age or older

        *Anyone who is totally and permanently disabled

        * You must own and occupy your residence or have an ownership interest

        *Applicants as of 2016 must have an adjusted gross income of $30,500 or less.
