It Must be Christmas Time during October in Katy TX

Last Sunday October 2, 2016 I was in Costco Katy TX to find there were numerous Christmas decorations and gifts already displayed for sale. I had to shake my head as we have not even got past Halloween yet and but we are already getting polluted with Christmas stuff. Frankly the Halloween decorations were few and far between.

I had been in Costco the previous Sunday and there were just a couple of Christmas items for sale. Don’t get the wrong idea as I like shopping at Costco in spite of all the people who show up, especially on Sunday,  to essentially chow down on the free samples. These folks are not hungry individuals who need to stuff themselves with the free food. The majority buy very few items based on the seeing their empty shopping carts. Maybe their trip to Costco is a combination entertainment and Sunday brunch event! Jus Sayin!!

My point is simple I really do not like or appreciate the retailers rushing the Christmas season up us during October. Chill out as there are many days ahead to peddle the Christmas wares.

Here are few of the pictures I took to show it must be Christmas Time during  October in Katy TX:

I know what you mean. Our Costco has had Christmas stuff out for weeks now. Seems it starts earlier every year. I just can't get into it yet!

It's way way too early for that stuff to be out.  It seems each year it gets put on display earlier and earlier.

That being said, those nativity figurines look really nice.

Good morning Bob. I don't do the membership clubs and prefer the small town shopping where I am. Christmas here starts after Thanksgiving.

Maybe they should just have Christmas stuff to purchase all year long, then we wouldn't have to worry about things being put out too early or too late, haha.

Thank you for your comments. Early Oct is weay too early in my mind to have Christmas wares displayed for sale. They did have out long s;eeve shirts and warm coats ( for here) for sale but that makes sense in Oct..
