Friend Request On My Facebook Page

As a real estate agent, I know the importance of social media presence. Interaction and communication are essential to a business entrepreneur. I do consider myself a businesswoman. The hours and dedication I put into my business, translates directly and equally to closed transactions and money to pay my bills.  The more hours I put into my business, the more success I can achieve.

In this modern world that we live in, everything and everyone expects results... like yesterday. Those who are connected in the world wide web are typically tech savvy and use the latest gadgets to be connected to their prospective clients, friends and family.

Facebook is such a tool. I have seen many use "live stream" where one can broadcast instantaneous whatever one feels like sharing with their friends and families throughout the world. We now can share images and conversations with those across the world with the push of a button.  I saw the latest Mark Zuckerberg backyard grill live stream where there were over 200,000 viewers from across the globe. Yes, it was a silly stream, but it brought people together. Now we know that Mark likes to grill ribs.

This brings me back to my blog. Social media is essential to my business. Much more today than it was just ten years ago. I hear some agents say that FB has not brought them much business success. On the other hand, there are agents who swear by it. Could it be how Facebook is being applied to their business? Are they using FB as a media or are they using it as a tool and service to network with prospective future and past clients. Are they providing information of their services online? Is a stranger able to determine one's type of business just by reading some of your posts? Can a neighbor determine your love and passion of your business from your posts?

Perhaps, the problem is not the tool, but how one uses the tool?

Facebook is connecting the whole world. As of the second quarter of 2016, there were 1.71 billion monthly regular users on Facebook and to top it off there were 1.57 billion mobile users. Facebook is connecting the world. This is a tool where friendships and networking are being built on a daily basis. Why wouldn't one want to be part of this social media network? By the way, for those who have mastered FB marketing, it is the cheapest and most profitable return on one's investment.

I found out today that my son is now a true entrepreneur.  He requested for my FB friendship online. I have been waiting for this since the inception of FB.  Oh, happy days...

Facebook has been an essential part of our business since we opened the door. I joined Facebook just to set up a business page. And I agree with you that Facebook ads are among the cheapest out there. We can track a lot of business to our company page directly from Facebook.

You hit the nail on the head when you said the issue could be in how Facebook is used.  It also takes consistency.  Good article.
