As a Certified School Scout and Real Estate Specialist (CSRES), I want to share this information from School Scout on how our schools are preparing our kids for the 21st century by changing the method of education using three specific methods.

Content from School Scout:

Students are our future but are schools preparing them for the future?

Many classrooms today are run the same way classrooms have been run for over one hundred years. Some classrooms may have smart boards, and the desks may be nicer, but the basic structure of many of today’s classrooms would be familiar to students and teachers from 1911. The teacher talks at the front of the room and the students are expected to sit at their desks and listen.

However, something is changing in education. Many of the best schools are moving away from this top-down method of education and instead are using collaborative learning strategies, game-based learning, and project-based learning to prepare students for the 21st century.
