If you're like me, you love Halloween and everything about this time of year. When my kids were little, some Halloween events could be a little scary so I was always looking for things to do that wouldn't scare the pants off of them and make them have nightmares for years to come.
I am happy to report that Georgetown has a few alternative activities so that the little guys/gals can have a blast without crawling into your bed or rushing to turn the bathroom light on....Trust me; They will beg you to see horror movies a few years down the road and swear up and down that they are "ready", so let them have their pre-"Conjuring" fun years now! BTW......they are never really "ready". My two kids still leave tons of lights on all night and run up the stairs after watching a scary movie. Scaredy cats.....I watched "Grizzly" growing up....Now that was scary! LOL.
Check out these alternative activities:
How cool is this? Over 40 local emergency agencies! Lots of "hands on" activities, fire trucks galore as well as helicopters, bounce houses, food and drinks. Really? I think this isn't just for kids! I don't like riding in helicopters, but I love to look at them!
Featuring "Scary Stories for Kids" performed by Ky Storyteller Debra Kumar. Facepainting, games, music, concessions, warm cider, and much more. Sponsored by The Georgetown Children's Theatre.
And don't forget the grand finale.....actual Trick or Treat night/time for Georgetown, Kentucky will be on Halloween day, the 31st, which is Monday night from 6:00-8:00. Spread the word......Peace out. Stay safe and check that candy too!
