SUMMER SHELTER PROGRAM:
Over 29 Guests were housed over the summer months three evenings a week with the Bethel Ministry providing their Chicago Heights, Illinois location. South Suburban Pads Culinary Expert Kareem Roberts provided a hearty meal each night.
FALL WINTER AND SPRING SHELTER PROGRAM:
Calvin Christian, Southwest Alliance, and Our Lady of the Ridge are returning as Shelter sites in the Northern-Tier of the Chicago-Southland shelter network. Please visit http://sspads.org for their and other locations.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE SHELTER-SITE MANAGERS AND VOLUNTEERS:
South Suburban Pads has procured the services of Midwest harm Reduction Institute of Heartland health Outreach to train in various areas of Harm Reduction, Mental Health First Aid, and more.
SOUTH SUBURBAN PADS INTERNS AND VISTA EMPLOYEE PROGRAM:
Two Interns and a Vista Employee are joining the Pads phenomenal Staff to serve in organizing food pantry services, volunteer coordination, and more.
Chef Kareem has solidified a contractual relationship with the Together We Cope charity to provide Life-Skills Cooking Program and Classes. These classes will also educate Country Club Hills Wellness Center Residence, and the Pads Shelter-Guests.
COUNTRY CLUB HILLS WELLNESS CENTER:
Staff is Celebrating over a 96% maintaining occupancy rate. Currently over 87 adults, and over 37 children reside. The Housing Authority of Cook County is a big help in providing needed subsidies.
A Psychologist provides weekly and bi-weekly therapy sessions. A Life Skills Coach helps Residents with home cleanliness, organization, and safety skills. Spiritual Awareness classes incorporate biblical teachings, and life skills building.
Midwest Bank Staff offer financial training worships, helping the Residents to build and maintain positive credit standing, financial literacy, and how to open and maintain checking accounts.
Pads Staff daily help Residents focus on maintaining housing through good budgeting through resourcing them on financial services, and creating good financial goals.
Case-Management Staff is realizing over 82% occupancy success rate with procuring housing with the other multi-family properties Pads owns, and other housing. These Residents benefit from health-care, transportation, education, employment assistance, advocacy, nutrition, clothing, budgeting, and financial literacy services offered. The Residents are employed, and work diligently to increase their financial status. The Staff help them to obtain greater self-determination while keeping them aware of their goals.
FAMILIES FIRST PERMANENT PROGRAM:
Pads Staff is celebrating over 99% occupancy. These are Residents who work on increasing their income, life skills, and developing greater self-determination.
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM:
Staff is celebrating over 89% occupancy, meaning there is room to serve the Chronically-Homeless Veterans, and families with a disability. These Clients benefit from intensive case management, and necessary services to maintain residential stability. Referrals are welcomed. http://sspads.org

RADID WISH PROGRAM:
Staff is presently serving over 16 participants, a program helping to get Clients successfully housed through obtaining employment. They are taught residential stability skills, helping them to achieve greater independence.
