Yes My Dear, Real Estate DOES Require Communication

Great post bringing back a lot of ball park memories. Women who can juggle mom and real estate amaze me!

Brenda, you moms are very lucky - you get to exploit child labor!  

Those who lack communication and listening skills in this business ....well they probably don't have much of a business!

There are times when YES DEAR does require more words and show a little interest in a big purchase.

Well said!  Failure to communicate usually brings the other types of failure!

There is no question that we need to be accessible to chat, text and provide information just to ease stress.  I can recall a trip my wife and I were taking and she made the comment, while listening to the conversations in the car, on blue-tooth, that I needed to be nurse maid, counselor information exchange for clients.

Having a phone charger is mandatory too as all that ime on the phone just eats battery juice too

My husband understands when the phone rings the mute button the radio is used. It's apart of his job also. There were a couple times both of our phones went ringing and we pulled off to the side of the road, first available parking spot. Turned the truck off and one went outside the other stayed in. It's a mutual understanding.

That's a funny story, Brenda. I think there are some agents, and others in this business, who might echo what your daughter said! LOL

It took me a while to figure this out - but communicating regularly with sellers, even if there is nothing new to say, is critical. They so appreciate hearing from me and know that I'm on top of it.

I believe the real estate business is ALL about communication. So much can go wrong without it. If everyone is on the same page the whole process will be much smoother.

So true. . ."nothing good happens when human brains are wondering what's happening." Communication is key!

Yes, it sure does require a lot of communication! I love that you have such a willing and capable assistant!

As I read this, I'm sitting in my client's house waiting for a contractor. She couldn't take another day off work with moving day quickly approaching. Thankfully, she has internet and I'm able to work remotely to help her out.

Brenda, I am of the opinion that if you are not communicating in this business you are dying.  You may not know it yet, but it will just happen.

Hard to keep friends when ya' don't even wave...
