Halloween In New Hampshire - Portsmouth Haunted House 2016

By
Home Stager with Sharon Tara Transformations

The Haunted House on Middle Road in Portsmouth, New Hampshire

is a Seacoast Halloween tradition.

A Halloween happening....you don't want to miss!

Every night in October the residents of 292 Middle Road open their yard and barn to the public as a Halloween gift to the city.

It's FREE to enter.

Don't let the fact that it's free fool you....

it's better than many of the events you have to pay to enter.

Every year the theme changes and more props are added.

I've been visiting this Halloween masterpiece for nine years now.

I've never been disappointed.

There are no actors....no spooky, chain-saw carrying monsters.

It's simply a walk-thru experience to enjoy at your own pace.

Some of the scenes are pretty graphic and disturbing and may not be appropriate for small children.

Open every evening in October 5:30pm - 9:00pm

UPDATE:

This Event No Longer Happens as of 2019

This is good information for local residents. I would be scared to go to such haunted houses.

Kimo Stowell  They do such an awesome job every year. We usually go at least twice.

Ed Silva  LOL....no need to rush....it's fun to be there!

Anna Banana Kruchten  Halloween is a real love it or hate it....all or nothing....holiday. I've always been a huge fan!

Donna Foerster  They used in several areas those lights you see at Christmas...that cover the house in dots.  They have smoke/fog and lots of automated props. Very impressive.

Lisa Von Domek  2016 has flown by!

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz  BOO!  LOL. Thanks for the feature!

James Dray  It's not for everyone! There are plenty of people who feel as your wife does.

Gita Bantwal  It's very well attended....a popular event.

Your very welcome Sharon and did you know when I grew up my friend use to call me Boobie or Boob? It wasn't long after that I dropped the b and told them they could just call me BOO!

How did you know?

That is terrific that a neighborhood comes together to offer that to the community. Keeping it free is a real gift to give.

Debbie Reynolds  It's actually just one household....not the neighborhood. Although it certainly feels like a whole community has done it. It's truely amazing!

Rebecca Gaujot, the Go To Realtor®  Maybe that's all the barn is used for and everything stays in there year round. I don't know, but I sure am glad they do this!
