Things The Internet Can't Do But A Realtor Can

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Preferred Realty

If you have ever searched for a home for sale online you know all too well that you can basically see and read almost everything you need to know about them without having to leave the comfort of your sofa.  Likewise if you are trying to sell your home there are many things that you cannot do without the help of a real professional.  There are some things the internet can’t tell you about a home  you might want to buy and there are some things the internet can’t help you with as far as listing your home, but a Realtor can.  Let’s take a look at a few of these things listed for you below.

  1. When you look for a home online you will find out all sorts of things, one being the price.  Without asking aRealtor however you won’t know if the house is a good price or not.  You will be able to get an estimate of what the property is valued at but you won’t know if you are getting a good deal.
  2. If you are trying to sell a home and you try to do so without a Realtor, listing one may not be as easy as you think.  If you’re listing your home for sale and you have no idea what price to ask, you won’t be able to list it properly without knowing such things as local market trends and neighborhood development, etc.  A Realtor has privy to these types of things and therefore will know more what to ask for when selling your home.
  3. You can market your house online for sure, but Realtors have plenty of contacts and networks of folks they can get your house hooked up with, such as the MLS.
  4. If you find a home online that you really love and you think you want to make an offer on, without a Realtor by your side you won’t likely have a very easy time getting through what comes next such as completing a mortgage application or hiring a home inspector.

As I mentioned before you CAN buy or sell without the help of a professional Realtor  but why would you want to do that when a Realtor already knows the ins and outs of home selling and buying and can easily help you through the process.  Buying a home doesn’t have to be stressful.  Let a qualified Realtor do all of the work for you while you concentrate on finding the home of your dreams!

Great post Liz. There is much that consumers can do online, however when they are really serious about buying or selling, they need to enlist the support of a professional!
