The fall season has started with falling temperatures, leaves changing and the fun holiday of Halloween.
Most of the decorations for any holiday are from the better half and these are her ghoulish friends at night keeping an eye on the neighborhood. As to the creative juices mine are of the simpler kind of a plain pumpkin and some Indian Corn decorating the entranceway.
The neighborhood also comes alive with the newer plastic decorations, graveyard markers and of course pumpkins and mums.
Our neighborhood is a mix of old and new with some of the adults dressing up and bringing the young ones out for their treats and generall there are no tricks except for the neighbor down the road setting off fire works and m80's arousing the dogs in the neighborhood.
Last years fare for all the costumed kids of all ages had the traditional candies, microwave popcorn and a few alternatives for those staying away from the sweets.
Thought of trying to duplicate this in the front yard but would have to get the ladder out to color the moon and hang some bats for the effect. By the time it was done it would be time for another holiday items to be hung.
It also has been said it is the one time of year for me not to have a mask!
It is also a time to thinking of all the witches, broom sticks, possibly the Ouija board and what movie to watch and which is the scariest.
As to my creative juices lets see what may become of this pumpkin and other assorted fall items!
Well as you can see I found the corn and decided to leave it hanging in the garage; as to the pumpkin so many have been mutilated by ny hand that this one will get a reprieve.
Happy Halloween
