The Ruthmere Mansion has Ghosts and is Haunted?
The mansion was built in 1910 and was the home of Albert and Elizabeth Beardsley. Rumor has it that there are more than 10 spirits that reside there, although it is unknown who they may be. A number of stories tell of a murder that happened in the home, but the stories are hard to prove.
They tell of poltergeist activity, with things being moved around and tossed in empty areas. It is said that there is activity all year long, but it increases on Halloween. Other activity includes some of the electrical items turning on and off, such as lights and alarms. When the house was vacant, there were even stories from people hearing gun shots coming from the mansion.
The Ruthmere Museum is now open to the public for viewing.
