Wordless Wednesday-R2D2? C-3PO?

Our first stop on our recent road trip was Auburn, AL to attend the Texas A&M (Gig’em) vs Auburn game. Our friend’s daughter is on the flag squad and Larry and I promised to attend a game when she made the team.

Before the game, we came across something I’d not seen before.

R2D2? C-3PO?

This is Bike Fixtation. It was on College Street, near the infamous Toomer’s Corner. A biker can stop to repair their bike here, no matter the time of day. There’s a pump on one side of it, and tools on both sides for bike repair. On the back, there are bars where the cyclist can place their bike while working on it.

Don’t you love the idea of this! I looked online and there are other companies that have something similar.

I haven’t seen one in Delray Beach, but I’m going to be on the lookout for one, and if not, suggest it to the city.

Barbara Todaro Larry said the same thing. I'm not sure how long it's been there but it looked to be in good shape.

Dorie Dillard I see cyclists here, especially on the weekends, who are stopped and having to fix a flat tire or make some other repair.

At first I thought it was a bike station but the idea of a puvlic utility to fix a bike is a great idea and encourages people not to always use fossil fuel vehicles.
