Why Live in Sister Bay, Wisconsin: Great Reasons to live in Sister Bay WI 54234

Why should you live in Sister Bay, Wisconsin?  There are dozens of GREAT reasons to live in Sister Bay!

Downtown Sister Bay

Village of Sister Bay Waterfront

Sister Bay is a BEAUTIFUL community on the shore of Green Bay, and close to Lake Michigan, too (a five minute drive will bring you to the "Lake side").  It is conveniently located near the middle of the Door Peninsula, toward the northern end, just ten minutes north of Fish Creek and Baileys Harbor, and next to the Village of Ephraim. Sister Bay is a safe community where people walk their dogs, children play in the streets, and where there is always something fun for residents and visitors to do, all year long.

While it's a total "Door County" village, Sister Bay and its outskirts can boast some conveniences that other communities don't have, including doctors, dentists, lawyers, a fantastic public library, one of the most popular public beaches in Door County, fantastic shopping both downtown and "uptown" at Country Walk Mall.   There is a winter sports complex as well as the only pharmacy north of Sturgeon Bay.  There are public parks and even a golf course.

The community is a careful combination of single family homes, rental apartments (one of the few places in Door County that has rental apartments) and lovely condominiums.  All of the homes in the Village of Sister Bay are on or a short walk from the shore.

Beach Road Home for Sale in Sister Bay

Homes in Sister Bay come in all price points, from affordable homes in the mid $100,000 range to Sister Bay waterfront estate homes that sell for millions of dollars.  Especially popular are Sister Bay condominiums for sale, with their ease for the vacationer.  Just drive up to Door County, park in your Sister Bay condominium with a garage, and you can walk to the beach, marina, restaurants, shopping and so much more!

Crows Nest Tram

Sister Bay is known for its free concerts on the water in the summer, for its incredible ice rink that operates in winter, a fantastic seasonal Farmer's Market, for delicious and varied dining and for two of the best (and busiest) public marinas and beaches in Door County.  If you love to boat or enjoy sun and surf, head to Sister Bay.  Sister Bay is also known for different year-round festivals and events, too.

If you are looking for a Sister Bay waterfront or inland home for sale, condominium or for vacant land for sale in Sister Bay, contact me!  While I represent properties throughout Door County, my family and I live in Sister Bay and I love it.

The Village of Sister Bay is one of my favorite places in all of Door County because of its many attractions and year-round activities.  There are more new attractions, restaurants, stores and shops planned for 2017 to be located in Sister Bay.
