Lessons for the Season

It's my favorite time of the year! There are so many lessons to be harvested during the month of October. Here are 3 of my favorite lessons, 2 from the world of sports and one from your own kids.

1)Baseball playoffs are happening! The teams that are still battling it out remind us that you have to FINISH STRONG and no matter what challenge is in front of you, find a solution. It doesn't matter if it is the middle of the game, bring in your best pitcher if it gives you the best chance to win! It is win or go home time!
What can you do to FINISH STRONG as the activities you do today lead to results at the end of the year? What challenge is in front of you and how can you solve that challenge? What must you do that you have never done before?

2)Football is one-third of the way into their season and some teams got off to a slow start and haven't let that slow them. Some got off to a fast start and rested on their success a little too much. Some teams are looking ahead and remembering there is still time to make changes. A vision is what gives the team a target, internal motivation (also know was a Big Why) keeps them moving forward and coaching makes them better week after week!
What is your Vision? Is it big enough to give you something to move towards?
When was the last time you thought about why you were doing what you do? Do you have a BIG WHY powering you to get there?
Who is coaching you and helping lead you to the next level week after week?

3)This month our kids teach us the power and ease of lead generation. That's right, our kids. We let them dress up in crazy costumes, we hand them a plastic pumpkin or a pillow case and we send them out into the world to knock on doors, walk through malls into each store and no matter where they are they have to talk to strangers! They might be saying "trick or treat" and receiving a piece of candy for their efforts.
Who are you talking to and asking your own version of "trick or treat?"

The year is far from over and there is plenty of time to FINISH STRONG, recast a VISION and earn the TREATS that come from your chosen form of lead generation!
