Ohio and Solon Real Estate - Lakes - Tow Path - Hawthorne Parkway

Living in Solon and working as a Realtor here brings some added bonuses to my day, especially in fall.   Being able to take a break and walk a mile up the road to Hawthorne Parkway makes for some beautiful nature walks to clear the mind and re-energize the spirit.  This Picture was taken today at an area in Solon called Shadow Lake.   It's a great little spot to escape to,  always a beautiful view, plenty of picnic tables, a few nearby trails and an area to go fishing in.

Shadow Lake is one of 1565 lakes in Ohio and is 3.74 acres of impediment created from the damming of two streams in the South Chagrin Reservation in 1968.

Other nearby lakes in Solon are:

Gwynn, what a fabulous area to take a break for a walk!  At first glance I thought it might have been one of the many stone quarries that are so common to the west of you in the Berea/Parma area where my parents grew up.  I was a proud attendee of Helen Muraski Elementary in Strongsville before we moved to Indiana!

Hope you get some business from your post on Shadow Lake in the Solon, Ohio area, Gwynn!

Gwynn, my Dad used to be a park mounted policeman and lifeguard in the Metropolitan Parks long, long ago, and then after World War II he worked for Cleveland Diesel.

We moved to West Lafayette(Home of Purdue University) way before you were born!!!      ^_~

It has been around five years since I have been back to the Cleveland area.

Thanks for the follow and I look forward to seeing more posts about the Greater Cleveland suburban area!!!!
